Social Static is a new work by The Dreaming Project, led by Dylan Singh, in collaboration with Director Nathan Maynard and Dramaturg Nicci Wilks, alongside performers Jonathon Brown and Maggie Church Kopp, and produced by Performing Lines.
Social Static is a character driven circus work with text which explores a central question: In which direction should Aboriginal Australia be going? The work features 3 central characters Guwalanaha (Past), Nya (Present) and Nirringal (Future) and asks whether they can work together to find a new dreaming land and can agree on what it should be.
The work is a text based theatre work with circus that fuses the two forms in a heightened theatrical fashion.
