Moonah Arts Centre Creative Development Residency

In partnership with Performing Lines Tas, Moonah Arts Centre is offering an opportunity for three artists who participated in The Performing Lines TAS Artist Residency 2024 and one artist who is a resident of the City of Glenorchy.

Moonah Arts Centre’s Creative Development Residency is a 5-day, residency providing a supportive, creative environment to test ideas, consider new collaborations and explore possibilities across art forms.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must either:

  • Have participated in The Performing Lines TAS Artist Residency 2024
  • Be a resident of the City of Glenorchy

We welcome applications from;

  • People at the start of their artistic practice
  • Senior artists with significant experience
  • Mid-career artists
  • Writers, directors, makers, dancers, performers, sound designers, choreographers etc. any artist with a project idea they want to work on.
  • Collaborative teams working together on a single concept and should apply under the name of whomever is the lead artist on the project.

Artists who have participated in the program within the past 3 years, will not be eligible.

Moonah Arts Centre celebrates diversity and welcomes all artists to apply including those with diverse abilities, sexualities, genders, age, ethno-cultural and socioeconomic status.

As a condition of the residency, successful artists must be prepared to meet with Moonah Arts Centre staff to discuss the requirements of their residency and sign a residency agreement.

  • Applications open: Monday 10 March, 2025
  • Applications close: 5pm, Friday 28 March, 2025
  • Successful and Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by the end of April.
