NSW Producers Exchange 2025

Performing Lines is delighted to announce the inaugural NSW Producers Exchange.

Please join us to gather, share ideas, facilitate conversations, and build relationships between producers, artists, and arts workers in the NSW performing arts sector.

As part of this networking event, we will host a short panel discussion featuring Sandi Woo (Executive Producer for Contemporary Asian Australian Performance) and Catherine Swallow (Programming and Curatorial Project Stream Lead for Riverside Theatres Parramatta) and facilitated by Simon Wellington (Executive Producer and CEO for Performing Lines) to discuss the question:

With increasingly tighter budgets and ‘safer’ audience choices, what is the current Australian appetite for risk and dreaming big? How do we continue to champion risk?

We look forward to welcoming you as we celebrate and wind down a big year in the arts.

Catherine Swallow

Catherine is the Programming and Curatorial Project Stream Lead for Riverside Theatres Parramatta, City of Parramatta Council. Embedded in the Parramatta community for over 10 years, she has overseen the delivery of Riverside’s extensive program of live performing arts and cinema, delivering artistic, commercial and community programming for wide-ranging audiences. With a Masters degree specialising in Theatre for Young Audiences, Catherine has previously worked as Outreach Coordinator at the New Zealand International Film Festival, as an Educator at Powerhouse Museum; at Capital E National Theatre for Children and extensively in the festivals and independent theatre sector in Sydney and Wellington.

Sandi Woo

Sandi Woo is creative producer, community development facilitator, and teaching artist with over 30 years experience working as both as an independent and within established organisations in WA, NSW and Queensland.

As a Producer, Sandi applies collaborative engagement strategies when working closely with community, colleagues, artists and stakeholders.  Being sure to understand their perspective and their creative aspirations so that she can best assist them to thrive in today’s arts landscape and negotiate outcomes agreed by all. No one artist or community is the same, and no one model suits everyone. Her deep understanding of community engagement practice enables her to manage relationships and partnerships with diverse range of key stakeholders. Sandi applies these practices across all her work context be it organizational, touring teams, creative development, artist development and/or sector advocacy. 

For the past three years, Sandi has been in the role of Executive Producer for Contemporary Asian Australian Performance, which she will wrap up at the end of 2025.
