HONŌUR is a multi-disciplinary work to be performed in public spaces which elevates and celebrates local Queer POC elders from the community it is presented. The work is a ceremony of love, recognition and an unmissable party. It features an epic soundtrack from some of the nation’s most iconic First Nations musicians as well as performances from legendary QTPOC dancers DJ’s, drag artists and trans activists. HONŌUR is a heartfelt celebration and honouring of our path finders and light bringers, the real royalty of our communities.
First commissioned by Midsumma Festival, the work was piloted in 2024 and the full length premiered at Fed Square as part of Midsumma in January 2025.
