BEAT Entertainment (BEAT) is a BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and First Nations-led creative company producing bold, heart-led work across music, theatre and live performance. Led by partners Samuel Gaskin and Johnny Hamilton, BEAT centres Queer, Indigenous and BIPOC voices through interdisciplinary storytelling and large-scale creative projects.
Their award-winning debut theatre work RECKŌNING premiered at Melbourne Fringe, winning four awards and touring nationally to sold-out audiences. BEAT has built a strong network of artists and collaborators, creating pathways for underrepresented creatives across the sector.
Recent highlights include HONŌUR at Fed Square & performances at Sydney Opera House for WorldPride and the development of new works including AUNTY, HONŌUR and THE FIZZ. Managing Director Samuel Gaskin is a recipient of the Victorian Multicultural Award for Excellence in Arts.
BEAT received The Producers Award for the LGBTQIAPN+ People’s Choice Awards 2025 & 2025 PAC Australia GALA Award for Theatre.
