In the transformation between day and night…

Six dancers weave a journey through marvellous spaces and sculptural niches of one of the most beautiful sites in the heart of the city. Alluring, humorous and intriguing, the dancers entice audiences along enigmatic pathways through the changing aspects of the place, from sacred to irreverent, underscoring the variety of elements in the architecture.
The audience is taken on an adventure. Constructed in frames which swing the audience’s view from one side of the site to another, the piece is an articulation through the architecture of the site. From the Cathedral’s grand plaza, through intimate and quirky spaces, to the stretch of water backlit by the deep orange light of the Museum, then down a flight of steps onto architectural plateaus and further into the gentle wildness of the park. Picking up casual passers-by who combine with skate-boarders alongside migrating bats who flock with the audiences, a flow is generated which is both evocative and thought-provoking, mingling mystery and frolicking excitement.
“…thought provoking and evocative, …it drew a big crowd on onlookers through a strongly visual string of atmospheres” Ausdance, 2003
